Donald Trump appeared on the program 60 Minutes to talk about the shooting that took place during the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner on April 25, 2026.

“Your friends on the other side of the table are the ones who were involved with, let’s say, Epstein or other things. But I told myself, you know: ‘I’m going to do this interview’. I read the manifesto, you know. He is a sick person. But you should be ashamed of reading that, because I am none of those things,” the American president added.
O’Donnell then explained to Trump that she was quoting the alleged shooter and not applying those labels to him personally. Even so, Trump did not hold back his criticism: “You shouldn’t be reading that on 60 Minutes. You are a disgrace, but let’s go ahead and finish the interview… you are shameful.”
